King's College Hospital

A rapid access clinic takes place every Wednesday afternoon at King's College Hospital for patients with diabetes who need to be seen relatively soon but non-urgently by a specialist diabetes healthcare professional.

These are multidisciplinary consultant-led clinics with input from dietitians and community-based diabetes specialist nurses. Patients will be seen by whichever practitioners are most relevent for their particular problems.

Who Is the Service For?

These clinics are primarily intended for patients who are normally managed in primary care but where advice is sought for some diabetes-related issue.

The rapid access clinic is provided from Suite 3 at the Diabetes outpatient clinic on the ground floor in the Golden Jubilee Wing at King's College Hospital.
