Guy's Hospital

A rapid access clinic takes place every Wednesday afternoon at Guy’s Hospital for patients with diabetes who need to be seen relatively soon but non-urgently by a specialist diabetes healthcare professional.

These are multidisciplinary consultant-led clinics with input from dietitians, diabetes specialist nurses diabetes nurse consultants and community-based diabetes specialist nurses. Patients will be seen by whichever practitioners are most relevent for their particular problems. 

Who Is the Service For?

These clinics are primarily intended for patients who are normally managed in primary care but where advice is sought for some diabetes-related issue.

The rapid access clinic is provided from the Diabetes and Endocrine Day Centre at Guy’s Hospital. The unit is on the 3rd floor of Southwark Wing within the hospital. Information on how to travel to Guy's Hospital can be found by following the link on the right of this page.
